Chrystal rucker

Kansas City's own Chrystal Rucker is best known to fans for her dynamic covers  of "Over the Rainbow" and Walter Hawkins' "Changed" and many classics by the late legendary Aretha Franklin. Daughter of a  bishop in the Church of God in Christ (COGIC), Chrystal began singing in church as a 4 yr old toddler. She went on to study  music and English at the University of Missouri-Kansas City. 

Chrystal has been featured on many critically acclaimed gospel albums by award-winning artists John P. Kee, Myron Williams, the late Edwin Hawkins and Orlando Draper, Ricky Dillard and other critically acclaimed projects. In 2012, she collaborated with Earnest Pugh to release her debut album, You Deserve on Pugh's EMP Music label. The album's title track landed on Billboard's Hot Gospel Songs chart and reaching Top 10 on Billboard Gospel Albums chart.

Chrystal Rucker is artist whose time has come. She's been on a journey toward health and wellness, while recording her new upcoming release, Graced For This.
